* Jon Jones vs. Brandon Vera
im not sure how vera will beat bones here, jones is a beast. line is fitting but seems like veras getting some action on sportsbook...
* Junior Dos Santos vs. Gabriel Gonzaga
JDS should test his power on GGs weak chin. hopefully he doesnt get careless because gonzaga is no slouch and is good for a round. already have 70ish on JDS
* Paul Buentello vs. Cheick Kongo
kongo should be the better fighter and should show.
* John Howard vs. Daniel Roberts*
roberts is a late fill in, howard should win this but he was 10 seconds away from a L to hallman last fight. dont know much about roberts here
* Spencer Fisher vs. Duane "Bang" Ludwig
king fish is the better all around fighter however im not sure that matters. both have good standup and the right punch can finish it from either guy.
* James Irvin vs. Alessio Sakara
irvin should be able to knock out sakara, and i will continue to bet against sakara. hopefully he doesnt get a W this time
* Shannon Gugerty vs. Clay Guida
guida will be fave but hopeful that gugerty can shock him here and sub him.
* Eliot Marshall vs. Vladimir Matyushenko
not sure here, vlad is tough but im a fan of eliot for some reason.
* Chase Gormley vs. Brendan Schaub
gormely got gassed out walking to the cage last time, and it cost me money. not sure here but im not betting on him again. i think the ufc wants schaub to stick around and this is a fight he can win
* Rob Kimmons vs. Mike Pierce
pierce should win a UD here
* Jason Brilz vs. Eric Schafer
red looked good for a round last fight, and was against a better fighter. the loser will be done in the ufc, interested in the line

[quote="gabe531"]MAIN CARD

* Jon Jones vs. Brandon Vera
Don't know how Vera would be able to beat Jones. I think Jones is better all around, uses his arm length very well and should be able to keep Vera away from clinching. I don't know that Vera is ever been KO but Jones might land a high kick and finish it in the second.
* Junior Dos Santos vs. Gabriel Gonzaga
I think that the only way that Gonzaga can have a chance in this fight is if he takes it to the ground. I don't know I have seen enough from JDS on the ground and that might be the only way. If he decides to stand up... he's done by RD2.
* Paul Buentello vs. Cheick Kongo
I see these two as with similar power but Kongo is much more agile. He should be able to do combinations and get out of the way of Buentello's reach.
* John Howard vs. Daniel Roberts*

PRELIMINARY CARD

* Spencer Fisher vs. Duane "Bang" Ludwig
The King should get this one. I think he's going to keep it standing where he has the edge over Ludwig.
* James Irvin vs. Alessio Sakara
This one is a tough one for me. I want to think that Sakara has enough power to beat Irvin AND Irvin is coming from a two year layoff.
* Shannon Gugerty vs. Clay Guida
I should say that who cares who wins here since this might turn out to be another FOTN for Guida. Plenty of fire works. He should be able to finish Gugerty probably late in the 2nd or 3rd.
* Eliot Marshall vs. Vladimir Matyushenko
I am going with Eliot. I think Matyushenko looked good against Pokrajac but he's 39 yo. Eliot looked very good in his last two fights. Looked very aggressive against Brilz and avoided Brilz hands well which might be the most dangerous weapons from the Janitor.
* Chase Gormley vs. Brendan Schaub
Schaub looked very poised against Nelson except that he got caught. I HOPE he learned his lesson and defends much better against the lesser Gormley. I don't see Schaub as a finisher but should take a UD.
* Rob Kimmons vs. Mike Pierce
Pierce came into the UFC as an unkown and quickly put himself into contention. He should take Kimmons to a dominant UD. Kimmons lost to a Jorge Rivera and to a Dan Miller and should lose to a Pierce, also. The only chance Kimmons has is in the first 5 minutes of the fight.
* Jason Brilz vs. Eric Schafer
Having a tough time with this one, too. This one is probably my most difficult fight to pick. Brilz has enough punch to KO Schafer but Schafer is very good on the ground. I am leaning towards Schafer but wouldn't be surprised if Brilz wins early.

How can Kimmons possibly be the smallest WW in UFC history when he fought the AFC's own Rob Yundt @ MW??

glad to see some confidence in Jones here. I got a bunch on him @ -225.

I like the thoughts, can't say as mine differ much other than I think Ludwig will hold the advantage standing over Fisher, and that Fisher will be looking to take it down. Also, the little we've seen of Gormley was incredibly uninspiring, I think Schaub probably KOs him.

Irvin/Sakara - neither can be trusted.

exactly how i feel. i bet jones at -220, ill add more if he gets down to -200.

i think fisher is considerably better than bang, hoping to get a bettable number.

sakara will handle irvin, hamster knows it.

hope to see a good price on peirce too

sakara???

sakara can fight and he's won me a bunch of money. irvin is nothing special and ill bet sakara wins a slugfest.

pierce will be -400 at best imo

i don't know why, but for some reason i thought you said bang was better than fisher, i re-read it 5 times to make sure i read it right heh, and glad to see you are on same page w/me, yea, fisher is awesome, bang is nothing special

i'm considering bigtime doing bets in a much more top-heavy manner. i'm still gonna bet most fights, but i'm not gonna do like 100 on every fighter, i might do like 600 on jones, and a few small bets (50ish maybe?) on ones i'm less confident in.

i like jones a LOT here. a LOT.

Apparently Vera has looked really good up in Big Bear. Has Jones fought at altitude and where is he training?

and "fat" = "small" ?
