Rashad Evans was
the winner
of the TV show The Ultimate Fighter: Season 2. His feud that season
with MMA legend and season 2 coach Matt Hughes is another thing that
people remember him for. Rashad Evans has an arrogant and cocky attitude,
but he is also a very talented and dangerous MMA fighter.
Rashad Evans entered The
Ultimate Fighter with a record of 5-0, Rashad competed as a heavyweight
and was the smallest fighter in his class. Since winning
the show, Rashad has gone on to compete in the light heavyweight division.
With a record of 7-0-1 in the UFC Evans has climbed the ladder in the
division to set up a title shot with The Ultimate Fighter Season 1
winner Forrest
Griffin. Along the way Rashad ran into some huge challenges from superstars
Tito Ortiz, Michael Bisping and megastar Chuck
Liddell. Wrestling is
Evans base but he also brings some heavy firepower with his striking.
Sean Salmon felt the power of a headkick in his highlight reel loss
to Rashad,
and Chuck Liddell found out how much power he has in his punches with
his 1 punch devastating knock out loss.
Outside of his MMA
career Rashad Evans is an assistant wrestling coach at his Alma Mater,
Michigan State University, where he was a star for 3 years.
Defeating the wrestling legend Greg Jones, which only 4 people can say
that they did, was one of the biggest highlights in the career of "Sugar" Rashad
Evans
